Friends of L'Arche Meeting

The Open Doors Ministry of Saint Bernadette Parish will be hosting a Friends of L’Arche Buffalo and WNY meeting on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. New attendees are invited to a 30 minute Orientation at 6:30 p.m. in the Saint Bernadette Community Center in the Father Carey Room at 5930 South Abbott Road, Orchard Park, NY 14127. Enter through accessible Door #1. Directly after the Orientation, Friends of L’Arche will be meeting at 7 p.m. to discuss progress and direction towards bringing a L’Arche Community to the Buffalo area. L’Arche is an international organization that promotes a culture of shared lives between people with and without disabilities. The people grow in faith and friendship, leading to a sense of belonging. There are currently over 154 L’Arche communities worldwide.They strive to create family networks, housing options, social opportunities and creative initiatives. Please join us to learn more about creating a L’Arche community in WNY. This will be an inclusive meeting for interested people with and without disabilities.
